Adi Tetrade was born on 16th August 1972 in Cluj-Napoca. At the young age of three, Adi had his first contact with drums and soon he developed the same passion for rhythm and beat as his gifted grandfather.

Sensing his natural talent for beating, Adi's family encouraged him to attend the "Sigismund Toduta" Musical School in Cluj where he took piano lessons till grade 6. As a 7 grader (13 years old) Adi started studying percussion as well. In addition to formal school training he practiced drum-playing on his own.
